Student Opportunities

The Aquatic Biology department has opportunities for all students, including internships, the student Biology Club and specialized scholarships.

Scholarships

There are many scholarships for Biology students, including three for Aquatic Biology students exclusively. Learn about eligibility and application guidelines here.

Organizations

The Biology Club and the Wildlife Society are active student clubs who plan events themed around biology and conservation, both on campus and in the community.

Internships & Employment

All Aquatic Biology students must complete an internship as part of their major. Check out what Biology opportunities there are on the Internship Database.

The department also has many opportunities for students to get work experience in labs, greenhouses or administrative areas. You can find out more about positions and qualifications here.

Research & Publication

As a Biology student, you will inevitably spend a healthy amount of time in lab. Should you want to turn that hard work into an original piece of published research, the Journal of Student Research curates and highlights original student projects.
