Cathy McCauley, a senior accounting major at Bemidji State University, has been awarded the Dell Ann Janney 2017 Sigma Beta Delta Fellowship Scholarship worth $1,000. She has been a member of BSU’s chapter of the Sigma Beta Delta honor society since April 2017.
Sigma Beta Delta was established to honor students who have attained superior records in business programs in regionally accredited colleges and universities. Bemidji State’s Sigma Beta Delta chapter was established in 2009 and invites the College of Business’s top 20 percent of students to join each year.
Sigma Beta Delta encourages and recognizes scholarship and accomplishment among students of business, management and administration. Inductees are lifetime members, dedicated to promoting the aspirations of personal and professional movement and a life distinguished by honorable service to humankind.
McCauley lives in Bemidji with her husband, Paul and her son, Michael. She is a full-time accountant for Northwest Cabinets and enjoys volunteering around the community in her spare time. After graduating from BSU, McCauley hopes to become a Certified Public Accountant.
