Marketing Club Receives AMA Affiliation

The Department of Business Administration’s Marketing Club has received affiliation as a collegiate division of the American Marketing Association (AMA). The club already has 25 active founding members and is advised by Dr. Angie Kovarik and Dr. Gabriel Warren.

AMA is one of the largest professional organizations and currently has over 20,000 professional members and over 11,000 student members, as it is one of the largest professional organizations. This affiliation allows students to have worldwide marketing connections.

The Bemidji State University Collegiate Chapter allows students to have an active role in leadership, financial management, increased involvement in community service, and fundraising among other exciting opportunities.

The AMA Collegiate also provides students with resources they might not otherwise have access to. The resources include but are not limited to; articles, webcasts, podcasts, and career management resources. Our students have the ability to ask for career advice from marketing professionals as well as locate internship and career opportunities.

Another benefit we are excited to bring to the students via AMA is the chance to compete in marketing competitions. Each year the AMA holds the International Collegiate Conference and Case Competition. This conference provides networking opportunities, learning, and competition. There are also other competitions throughout the year.

If you are interested in joining please contact our Chapter President Tess Heyer at, Chapter Vice President Kallie Hoplin at, or one of the advisors.
