An Economics degree from Bemidji State opens doors everywhere. Want to enter the workforce? Thinking about graduate school or law school?
If you leave the Economics Program, you leave prepared for anything.
At first, it may seem odd that Economics is nested within the Center for Environmental, Economic, Earth and Space Studies. After all, it’s not a natural science. But if you look closer, it fits in.
Economics isn’t strictly the study of money and the financial system. It is an analytical science, based in mathematics. The CEEESS’ mission is to unite the practical and the theoretical, and the Economics program is a great example of that mission.
In your course of study, you will learn about the global financial system and the mechanisms that control it. A statistics course will give you a practical foundation. Finally, you will complete a capstone research project to tie all you’ve learned together.
