Writers now need practice in information architecture, page and web design, linking and tailoring writing for the fly-by reader
Web pages, web sites, weblogs, wikis and consumer created content. The web provides new opportunities for professional and creative writers as editors, writers, and freelancers. But it also makes new demands.
Students at BSU are among the first to make the leap to digital writing and electronic publishing in classes such as Rhetoric of Digital Media and Rhetoric of Social Media and are now working as freelancers, editors and contributors in the digital realm.
