Students in HLTH 4410: Health Programming hosted a public awareness event funded by the Minnesota Organization on Fetal Alcohol Syndrome (MOFAS). The class was awarded a $2,000 grant to spread awareness of fetal alcohol spectrum disorders. Students planned the event with a simple message in mind – 049 – zero alcohol for nine months. About 90 participants signed up for the walk/run, with more community members joining in on the activities, food, and educational fun for the afternoon.
