How did your education at Bemidji State University prepare you for what you are doing now?

“The Sport Management classes I took at BSU helped open my eyes to many more opportunities. I never realized how many jobs, careers, and opportunities were truly in Sports. From sales, marketing, business intelligence, public relations, community relations, etc. The classes I took helped me realize that there were a lot of opportunities out there, you just have to find one that fits for you.”

What advice would you give a current HPSH major at Bemidji State University?

“Network as much as possible. I didn’t have the best grades, didn’t volunteer for everything, and didn’t play a sport in college. I made sure that I was on LinkedIn, team work online, going to networking/job fairs just to get my name out there. The more your name is out there the better chance you have at landing a job early.”
