Academic Programs

In addition to five bachelor’s degrees, we also offer a number of non-major options, including a coaching certificate, add-on health education licensure for working teachers and several minors.

Undergraduate Majors

Bachelor of Science in Community Health

For students interested in careers in community or public health-related fields. Prepares students for graduate study, accelerated nursing programs or entry-level career positions.


Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science

For students who are interested in careers in fitness-related fields or with further study physical therapy, occupational therapy, medicine, chiropractic or other allied health fields. Prepares students for graduate study, post BS accelerated Nursing programs or to apply for certifications in a fitness field that requires a BS degree.


Bachelor of Science in Health Education — Teacher Licensure

For students who wish to be licensed health teachers in K-12 schools. This is an integrated program with the Department of Professional Education that leads to State of Minnesota teaching certification or is preparation for graduate study.


Bachelor of Science in Physical Education  Teacher Licensure

For students who wish to be licensed physical education teachers in K-12 schools. This is an integrated program with the Department of Professional Education that leads to Minnesota teaching certification or is preparation for graduate study.


Bachelor of Arts in Sport Management

For students interested in careers in sport industry. Prepares students for careers in fields such as professional sport team management and marketing, administrative positions with college athletics, management of fitness clubs and organizations and event facilities management.
