Scholarships:
Qualified history majors may apply for four departmental scholarships each year:
Schnabel Scholarship
The Schnabel Scholarship is awarded to a History major. To be eligible, a student must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.00, a GPA of 3.00 in History courses, at least sophomore status, and at least 9 completed credits of BSU History courses.
Harold Hagg Scholarship
The Harold Hagg Scholarship is awarded to a History major. To be eligible, a student must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.00, a GPA of 3.00 in History courses, at least sophomore status, and at least 9 completed credits of BSU History courses. In addition, recipients of this scholarship must receive federal financial aid.
Dewitt-Dunham Scholarships (two scholarships awarded per academic year)
The Dewitt-Dunham Scholarships are awarded to History majors. To be eligible, a student must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.00, a GPA of 3.00 in History courses, at least junior status, and at least 9 completed credits of BSU History courses.

Internships:
Bemidji State University, in partnership with the Beltrami County Historical Society, offers several paid internships per year. These internships are funded through a combination of grant money from the BCHS and student work money facilitated through BSU.
