Dealing with Machines in the CS Lab
When you come into the lab, the machine should be in one of two states: off or running Windows or running Ubuntu Linux.
If the Machine is Off
Push the power button. Also make sure that the monitor is turned on. After a brief moment you will see a prompt screen to boot into Linux, Windows or some other funky options. Make your choice and press enter.
If the Machine is Running Windows
First, move the mouse and then press crtl + alt + del. You now have the option to log in or reboot the machine. Enter your BSU user name and BSU password in the dialog box and pick OK.
If the Machine is Running Linux
First, move the mouse. If you want to log into Linux, pick the “log on” option and input your username and press enter. Provide your password and press enter again to log in.
