Opera Theater

Bemidji State’s Opera Theater program provides an excellent opportunity for students to prepare and perform stage works chosen from a wide range of the operatic or music theater repertory.

Under the direction of Dr. Cory J Renbarger and Dr. Jennifer Olson, students are given the chance to learn the process of show preparation at all stages and perform in BSU’s wonderful main theater. In addition to intensive acting and musical instruction, students are involved and integral in many aspects of the production, including stage management, lighting, costuming and design. Along with the vocalists and technical crews, instrumentalists can be involved with the orchestra, which consists of student and professional players.
