Weisbrod’s dissertation focuses on making the teachings of Marcel Moyse accessible to the broader flute community and is writing a teaching and learning guide to Moyse’s 24 Little Melodic Studies. Combining her expertise in both the music and computer science fields, her current research interests include the use of discrete mathematics in music analysis. In 2007, Weisbrod worked with Steven Makela of Concordia College on a composition for flute, marimba, and computer where she designed the computer interface using MAX/MSP.
