Pre-Licensure Direct Admission Application

Admission to BSU

Students must be admitted to Bemidji State University prior to applying for admission to the Nursing major. Apply to BSU Online.

Eligibility

Admitted BSU students are eligible to apply for Direct Admission to our program if they meet the following qualifications:

      1. High School cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher.
      2. Composite ACT score of 25 or higher.

We are currently accepting applications for those interested in applying to the nursing program Summer 2023 (August 15th – September 15th). It’s important to note that many students will still need to do their pre-requisite coursework at BSU or elsewhere prior to applying to the program; however, it may be possible for students to submit their application as a first-year student if they completed the application requirements as a PSEO student.

Students with Direct Admission status are still required to submit a program application with all the supporting materials by the September 15th deadline. Any student who loses their Direct Admission status would still be able to apply to the program through the holistic admissions process.

All applications for Direct Admission must be submitted by March 15th, 2022. Those offered Direct Admission will also be awarded an additional $1,000 scholarship.
