Mathematics Teacher Preparation Project

BSU’s National Science Foundation Grant provides scholarships of up to $22,000 per year for up to two years. Candidates must complete a double major in mathematics and mathematics education within two years and teach for four years in a high-need K-12 district. Scholarship applications will be accepted through January 31, 2022.

From a North Woods Family Farm to the Classroom, Holm has Deep Roots at BSU

Alumna Sara Holm ’19, always knew she would attend Bemidji State University to become a teacher. After earning her elementary education degree and a minor in sports management, Holm is now settled into a successful career as a third-grade teacher at Red Lake Elementary in Minnesota’s north woods.
