Most scholarships are awarded in recognition of outstanding academic achievement and are not based on financial need. The Gladys McKinley Distance Learning Scholarship


Undergraduate or graduate student pursuing a degree in teacher education through the Center for Extended Learning at Bemidji State University from the northern region of Minnesota.

Application Procedure

Students apply for this scholarship by completing the Foundation Scholarship Application.  This application is available through Feb 1 of each year.  The award is made in April, for the following academic year.

The Minnesota Indian Teacher Training Program (MITTP)

This program provides scholarship dollars to be used towards tuition, a book allowance, a living stipend as well as mentoring with American Indian Resource Center (AIRC) Staff and other American Indian Educators.
