Requirements for Admission to the FasTrack PostBac

- Completed four year degree (B.S. or B.A.) degree (or higher) from a regionally accredited institution.
- Complete the Online Admission Application
- Submit a 500 word essay titled “Why Teach?”
- Must have a cumulative GPA of 2.5
- Minimum 2.5 GPA in content courses transferable in license seeking area:
- Chemistry
- Earth and Space Science
- Life Science
- Physics
- Communication Arts and Literature
- Mathematics
- Physical Education
- Health
- Social Studies
- Library Media Specialist
- Technology Education
- * Special Education
*Special Education does not have content specific course work. Students seeking SPED licensure must have a cumulative GPA of 2.5
- Complete ED 5000 (learn how to register for ED 5000 here)
- Submit all official transcripts to the graduate school
- Submit all application materials to fastrack@bemidjistate.edu
- Recruit a teacher mentor and submit the signed Mentor Application
- Obtained student liability insurance
- Agree to attend all in-person sessions at North Hennepin Community College Community Sessions (attendance is mandatory)
