Neuroscience is an interdisciplinary field between biology, psychology, chemistry, and physics. The field explores how the structure, function, and evolution of the nervous system affect behavior. Within college systems the neuroscience degrees are typically located within biology or a psychology department. There are many specialties within the neuroscience area including behavioral, cognitive, social, molecular etc… A degree in neuroscience prepares a student to begin a career as an experimental psychologist, neuropsychologist, psychiatrist, neurological surgeon, general practitioner etc…
