What does wellness mean…
The Global Wellness Institute (2019) defines wellness as the active pursuit of activities, choices and lifestyles that lead to a state of holistic health. We feel it is important to note that this isn’t just something that happens because you are a good person, rather wellness results from a series of actions taken and choices made across an hour, day, week or year(s).
Our wellness Committee
Taking action and making choices about wellness is something that cannot be accomplished without the support of your community. Being part of a community is important for so many reasons. One of the biggest of these is to feel like are supported wherever you are and in whatever situation. As such we have established a Wellness Committee to provide this support through information, connection, and encouragement for achieving wellness and practicing self-care.
The Wellness Committee will work to…
…by providing a variety of techniques for practicing self-care, relaxation & wellness.
…by sharing insights on established approaches to wellness, coping, & self-care.…by sharing how the BSU Psychology community enacts wellness in our lives.
…because life is too short to be so serious all the time!
