About Maggie
Hello! My name is Maggie Vomela and I am a senior here at Bemidji State University majoring in Graphic Design and minoring in Studio Arts. On this educational path, I am working to graduate with my Bachelor’s of Science in Design with an emphasis in Graphic Design this upcoming May. Growing up in Taylors Falls, Minnesota I always admired the talent my mother and grandmother had in painting. They influenced me to take on art in my free time and by doing this I found it was a huge passion for me. Over time, I have found the most enjoyment as an illustrator. I hope to find a career where I can continue to advance my digital art skills. In my free time, I enjoy sketching on my iPad and have recently been learning to animate 2D characters.
Presentation Description
For my presentation, I will be showing three projects that combine my skills in graphic design and illustration. The first is a collection of logo designs I have created in my courses here at Bemidji State University. Then I will share a poster design created on the topic of mental health and the impact the coronavirus has had on it. Last, I will show work from my most recent project, creating my own action graphic novel. With these pieces, I hope to show my style and all that I’ve learned whilst attending Bemidji State.
