LockDown Browser prevents students from printing, copying, going to different url’s or accessing other applications during an online exam. It is often used in testing centers or proctored environments.

Respondus Monitor enhances Lockdown Browser by using a student’s webcam to record the exam session. After the exam, faculty are provided with information about the exam session and can review the recorded videos.

Before you decide to use Respondus Monitor for your exams, be aware of the Remote Proctoring Guidance provided by Minnesota State Academic and Student Affairs concerning student privacy issues.
