Pursuant to the United States Department of Education\u2019s Program Integrity Rule, institutions providing online education are required to provide all prospective and current students contact information of the state agency or agencies that handle complaints against post-secondary education institutions offering distance learning within that state.<\/p>\n

Types of complaints<\/h5>\n

BSU recognizes that there are potentially many kinds of complaints, and has addressed these possibilities on the Student Complaints web page<\/a>. Please check this resource first.<\/p>\n

Steps to file a complaint as a distance learner<\/h5>\n

  1. Please review the Student Complaints and Grievances Policy posted here<\/a>. We encourage you to seek resolution to any concerns by discussing them informally with a faculty or staff member at the University.<\/li>\n
  2. If a complaint cannot be handled informally, you are encouraged to use our University\u2019s complaint process, as outlined in the policy and web page linked above.<\/li>\n
  3. If a complaint cannot be resolved at the University level, and if you reside out of state and in an NC-SARA state, you may contact the Minnesota Office of Higher Education.<\/a> You may also contact your local state agency (pdf)<\/a> for further information.\u00a0 Choose your state below to find contact information for the appropriate agency.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
