The Department of Nursing uses a shared governance<\/a> committee structure for decision making, program evaluation and establishment of mission and policies.<\/p>\n

Students are an important part of shared governance. Your input and feedback provide the department with valuable information that contributes to a better program.<\/p>\n

Department of Nursing committees meet approximately once per month. All regular department faculty meetings are open. Students are welcome to attend, present at or participate in discussions at all regular department faculty meetings and standing committee meetings.<\/p>\n

Students anticipating enrollment or currently enrolled in the nursing major may communicate concerns and requests in writing to the appropriate committee chairperson or to the Senior Nursing Administrator (SNA). Special requests or presentations shall be communicated in writing to the committee chairperson for placement on the agenda. The schedule of regular meetings will be posted in advance of each semester.<\/p>\n
