Study of the assessment and management of behavior problems in the classroom. Techniques include functional behavioral assessment, cognitive strategies, and crisis prevention. Students apply behavior modification techniques in an approved clinical special education setting, grades 7-12. Prerequisites: Completion of all Tier 1 courses: SPED 5105, SPED 5600, SPED 5640, SPED 5650, and SPED 5715; and Completion of all Tier 2 courses: ED 5201, SPED 5106, SPED 5630, SPED 6603, and SPED 6608.
