Building upon existing departmental expertise and course offerings, this new blended course is designed to introduce students to the interaction of food, health and Indigenous Environments. Students will learn the critical connections between food and our health with an exploration of those influences within the context of Indigenous worldviews and ways of knowing. As a blended course, there will be three Friday meetings during the semester on 9/7/18, 10/26/18, and 12/7/18. The remainder of the course will take place online. This is an experiential learning course -- learning through interaction, projects, and reflection. This course may be suitable as an elective in Indigenous Studies and Environmental Studies, Health and Nursing degree programs.
