BSU offers a variety of programs to enrich youth through athletic camps, music academies, Pre-College programs, and more.

Scrubs Camp for High School Students

Scrubs Camp is for entering freshmen, sophomores, juniors and seniors in high school. Students who have a desire to learn about health care careers and educational pathways, particularly those in the greater Bemidji region are encouraged to attend. Minimum 10.  Maximum 15.

Hands-on activities, dynamic, and fast-paced:

  • 6/16 Nursing lab at Northwest Technical College 
  • 6/17 First Aid & Mental First Aid, Dental Lab
  • 6/18 Nursing Lab at Northwest Technical College
  • 6/21 Nursing Lab at Bemidji State University & Sanford Health

Scuba Science Camp, Ages 12-14
Dates TBD, Typically 3rd week in July

Learn to scuba dive and the physics, chemistry, biology and environmental sciences behind it.  Camp meets daily between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. at Bemidji State University for classroom and pool.  Open Water dives at Bad Medicine Lake. $475 (2020 rate).  Cost includes lifetime Junior Open Water Scuba certification.  Participants must have swimming ability.  Parents must complete medical form, liability release, acknowledgement form (available at the Dive Depot).  Sponsored by The Dive Depot, Bemidji State University, and Headwaters Science Center.  To register, call or stop by The Dive Depot, 1615 Fern St. NW, Bemidji, MN or 218-444-3467. Canadian Professional Goalie School


Join Steve Briere, NHL Goalie Coach for the Toronto Maple Leafs and owner of Canadian Professional Goalie Schools at his annual ELITE TRAINING CAMP or GOALIE YOUTH DEVELOPMENT CAMP this summer in Bemidji.

Goalie Youth & HS Development Camp – Birth Years 2006-2013

July 26-29, 2021

Youth Development Camp check-in will be from 6-6:30 AM on Monday, July 26. Youth Camp will run from approximately 7 AM to 12 noon each day. Cost, $600, discounted for Bemidji Youth Association goalies.

The Bemidji Elite Camp

Sunday, July 26-31, 2021

This Elite camp is all-inclusive, meaning that you only need to get to and from the camp! We cover all room, board, meals, activity costs, and transportation during camp.  Cost, $1250 USD.

Camp will start on Sunday with check-in between 1-3 PM (Central Time) and will conclude on Friday between 1-1:30 PM (Central Time). All flights and travel arrangements should be made around these approximate start and end times.

We will be starting and ending camp at Oak Hall on Bemidji State University’s campus. The address is: 314 23rd St NE, Bemidji, MN 56601.

It is a highly competitive environment for goaltenders aged 15+ (2000-2005 for Summer 2021) where we can all get on the ice and train together against NCAA DI shots. Every year, we bring out the Bemidji State University NCAA Division I players to shoot on our goalies, as well as top high school players from the area.
