{"id":22,"date":"2021-10-21T14:40:43","date_gmt":"2021-10-21T19:40:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.bemidjistate.edu\/academics\/summer\/?page_id=22"},"modified":"2026-03-27T14:19:00","modified_gmt":"2026-03-27T19:19:00","slug":"admission-registration","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.bemidjistate.edu\/academics\/summer\/summer-courses\/admission-registration\/","title":{"rendered":"Admission &amp; Registration"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"intro\">Enrolling in online or on-campus courses this summer is simple with BSU&rsquo;s online application and registration process.<\/p>\n<h2>How to Register for Summer Courses<\/h2>\n<p>To apply and enroll in BSU Summer Sessions, follow our regular undergraduate or graduate application procedures.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>If you are not yet a BSU student, apply for regular admission.<\/li>\n<li>If you do not plan to complete a degree at BSU, you should apply as a Special Student. Once we&rsquo;ve processed your application, you&rsquo;ll be able to register for classes.<\/li>\n<li>If you are already a BSU student, you may register for summer classes.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Apply for Admission to BSU<\/h3>\n<p>If you are a new student (who hasn&rsquo;t previously attended BSU), your personal identification information must be entered into the student records system.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bemidjistate.edu\/admissions\/apply\/\">Apply for admission<\/a><\/p>\n<h3>To Apply as an Undergraduate Special Student<\/h3>\n<p>If you do not plan to complete your degree at BSU, select the following on your application:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Type of Major: &ldquo;On campus&rdquo; or &ldquo;Off site&rdquo;<\/li>\n<li>Area of Student: &ldquo;Undecided&rdquo;<\/li>\n<li>Intended Degree: &ldquo;Not seeking degree&rdquo;<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Students will be granted special status admission if they:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>have graduated from an accredited high school, OR<\/li>\n<li>have completed a GED certificate, OR<\/li>\n<li>are transferring from another post-secondary institution where they have good academic and financial standing<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Transcripts are not required. Students who later decide to pursue a degree program must apply for regular undergraduate admission to the BSU.<\/p>\n<h3>To Apply as a Graduate Special Student<\/h3>\n<p>Complete the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bemidjistate.edu\/admissions\/apply\/\">Graduate Special Student Application.<\/a><\/p>\n<h2>Register for Classes<\/h2>\n<p>Register using <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bemidjistate.edu\/mybsu\/\">e-services<\/a>. Refer to the class schedule for correct course ID numbers and credit values. All students are responsible for reviewing the Summer Session registration policies.<\/p>\n<p>Review additional information about <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bemidjistate.edu\/academics\/summer\/summer-courses\/registration-policies\/\">registration policies<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><em>Students who have not registered for courses for some time may need to contact <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bemidjistate.edu\/mybsu\/registration\/\">Records and Registration<\/a> to activate their StarID and StarID password.<\/em><\/p>\n<h2>Pay your Tuition &amp; Fees<\/h2>\n<p>Fee statements are available only online. Payments may be made online or at the Cashier&rsquo;s Office.
