Due to COVID-19, some students elected to defer their start to a future semester. We’ve compiled some tips to assist you with a spring semester start.
Do I Need To Re-Apply?
-If you have not attended any colleges between when you were accepted and your anticipated start at BSU, you will not need to reapply.
-If you originally applied as a freshman, but since attended college or earned credits, you will need to re-apply as a transfer student. Once you login to the online application you will see your original application status. To re-apply to BSU, scroll all the way to the bottom of your application page and select “Apply to Another Institution”. You will not need to pay the application fee again or resubmit high school transcripts.
Submit Updated Transcripts
For Freshmen: We will need to have a final transcript that reflects your successful graduation from high school on file. Please contact your high school to request a new transcript if you haven’t already submitted a final transcript.
For Transfer: Depending on when you last submitted a college transcript, we may need an updated college transcript from your most recent school that reflects your final grades. MinnState school transcripts are automatically updated, so no action is needed if you are transferring from a MinnState school. Contact our transfer advisors to check on your transcript status.
RSVP for Class Registration
Students will be registered on an ongoing basis through individual contact with an advisor. Information on this process and submitting a request to get registered can be found here.
Monitor your BSU Email
Students who deferred to a future semester will receive emails regarding housing, orientation, and Spring start-up activities as information becomes available. Login to your MyBSU account for email access.
Students who completed a FAFSA for 2020-2021 can still use the original FAFSA you submitted. Follow this link to contact financial aid or verify your financial aid status.
If you have questions or need assistance with any of these items, please contact your admissions representative for assistance.
