Assistant sociology professor Dr. Rucha Ambikar wrapped up the fall Honors Council Lecture schedule Dec. 2 with an exploration of the Hindi-language film industry based in Mumbai, India, that has become known as Bollywood.

Jim Stone coaches the BSU women’s soccer team in a pair of home matches this weekend as well. The Beavers take on Southwest Minnesota State and Sioux Falls, Oct. 10-11.

Women’s hockey captain Hannah Moher has scored two goals and four assists during BSU’s 3-0-1 start. She will lead her teammates against the Minnesota Duluth Bulldogs this weekend at Sanford Center.

Led by senior captain Graeme McCormack, BSU men’s hockey opens its season this weekend with a home-and-home series against the No. 2-ranked Minnesota Duluth Bulldogs. After a Friday opener in Duluth, the series moves to the Sanford Center for BSU’s home opener on Saturday.

Tom Serratore is in his 16th season as BSU’s head men’s hockey coach. Last year, he guided the Beavers to their first-ever home WCHA playoff series, and the league’s coaches picked BSU to finish fourth in the conference this year.

Jim Scanlan was named National Coach of the Year after his first season as BSU’s head women’s hockey coach a year ago. This year he has guided the Beavers to a 3-0-1 start and a No. 9 national ranking.
