Emily Snyder plays oboe for Atlantic Reed Consort, a five-member ensemble that plays traditional chamber music with a modern twist. The group joins the Bemidji Concert Series for a March 9, 2018, performance.

Joann Whang is cellist for the Argus Quartet, currently Graduate Quartet in Residence at the Juilliard School. The quartet joins this year’s Bemidji Concert Series lineup for a Jan. 21, 2018, performance.

Boston Brass, one of the nation’s pre-eminent brass ensembles, featuring Chris Castellanos on horn, performs in Bemidji on Nov. 5. Tickets will be available at the doors.

The Bemidji Concert Series has brought some of the world’s finest music to Bemidji since 2001. This year’s series opens Sept. 28 with The Rose Ensemble.


Jordan and his teammates plan to continue BSU’s tradition of a Lake Bemidji dive following a Homecoming win. They take on Southwest Minnesota State on Sept. 23.

2017 Young Alumni Award winner Dr. Guylaine Haché and four 2017 Outstanding Alumni honorees will be recognized at BSU’s annual Honors Gala Sept. 22 at the Sanford Center.


People of all ages will gather and cheer from storefront sidewalks for the traditional 11 a.m. parade north through the heart of downtown on Beltrami Avenue.
