11:00am - Switzerland Visitor: Dr. Gustav Arnold
Dr. Gustav Arnold will be on campus September 19 & 20 to present to faculty, students, and staff information about this wonderful opportunity. The University of Teacher Education of Lucerne (UTE) is an institution of higher education seeking to prepare students for a career in teaching. The students select their subjects from twelve different departments. They get trained in both content areas and didactics in four school subjects. Intent upon internationalizing its campus, UTE would love to welcome students from Bemidji State University and offer them an individually tailored program based upon their academic profile for the duration of one semester. In this presentation, participants will be provided with information about campus and academic life at UTE and discuss possible scenarios for exchange students. Dr. Arnold could also be available to present in individual classes if you wish. Please contact Joan Miller at jmiller@bemidjistate.edu to determine if his schedule will allow a class visit. Thank you!
