Conference History
Presented in the table below is a partial history of the Minnesota Undergraduate Psychology Conference (MUPC) as chronicled by College of St. Catherine psychology professor Tom Thieman in 2004. His records date from 1977. That year’s conference was reported as the 12th annual MUPC by host St. Cloud State University’s psychology department, implying that MUPC’s inaugural event was held in 1966. Perhaps some senior faculty members know more about its origin and early years.

The list of keynote speakers is impressive. We are unaware of any statewide or regional undergraduate psychology conference in the United States that is older than MUPC. May the tradition continue and flourish.
