The 73rd Northern Minnesota Regional Science Fair will be held on Friday, February 20, 2026 in the Beaux Arts Ballroom on Bemidji State University’s campus.<\/p>\n

About the Northern MN Regional Science Fair<\/h2>\n

The Northern Minnesota Regional Science Fair is held at Bemidji State University in late February each year. Approximately 50 to 100 students(grades 6 – 12) from our 18 county region (Aitkin, Beltrami, Benton, Cass, Clearwater, Crow Wing, Hubbard, Itasca, Kittson, Koochiching, Lake of the Woods, Marshall, Mille Lacs, Morrison, Pennington, Red Lake, Roseau and Wadena) compete, and for over $1300 worth of prizes. Minnesota State Science Fair: March 27, 2026 in St. Paul, MN<\/h3>\n

The Minnesota State Science Fair<\/i><\/a> brings together the top science fair students from the 7 regions within the state to show off their experiments, network with other student scientists, and compete for a chance to attend the International Science & Engineering Fair.<\/p>\n

International Science & Engineering Fair: May 9-15, 2026 in Phoenix Arizona<\/h3>\n

The International Science & Engineering Fair<\/i><\/a> (ISEF) is the world’s largest international pre-college science competition. Each year, it provides a forum for more than 1,500 high school students from over 40 countries to showcase their independent research. High school student projects from each region advance directly, as well as those selected to advance from the state competition. Participants in the ISEF meet many other students with new ideas and similar interests. They are exposed to a wonderful array of new experiences with tours, presentations and other fun activities.<\/p>\n
