Biography
Marilyn Andresen is a former Bemidji State University nursing graduate. She graduated with her master’s degree from Graceland University, specializing as a Family Nurse Practitioner. She is board certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. She is a member of the American Nurse Practitioners Association, Emergency Nurses Association and previously very active as a steward with the Minnesota Nurses Association. Marilyn’s clinical experience reaches through the breadth of nursing with a solid foundation in emergency medicine, medical/surgical rotations, geriatric and long-term care. She also has extensive experience working and promoting for the physically and mentally disabled.
In her spare time, she likes to travel and seek out new adventures. You may even see her exploring trails on her side by side, as outdoors in Minnesota, are a very special place!
Teaching goals: To advocate for the education of aspiring nursing students; helping them discover and embrace their passion for the nursing profession! I hope to encourage investigative research, evidence -based practice principles, while advocating for optimal patient care. Ultimately, I hope to serve as a beacon for the students to seek advice, support and growth toward their goals as a prospering graduate at Bemidji State University.
