These GTPases participate in events that control cell movement and shape. Besides controlling cellular migration, Rho GTPases frequently act as signaling nodes within cells, and they participate in a wide variety of cellular events through their interactions with a series of upstream and downstream effector proteins. In particular, guanine nucleotide exchange factors (GEFs) play a critical role in events that stimulate the signaling function of GTPases.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Recent Work<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Florke, R.
