September 21st – 27th is Banned Books Week!
In 2013, the Office for Intellectual Freedom reported over 300 challenges to have books banned from libraries (American Library Association,http://www.ala.org/bbooks/frequentlychallengedbooks).
How can you be an advocate for the freedom to read?
- Join with the A.C. Clark Library in celebrating your right to read. You are invited to stop by the Scandinavian Room in the lower union on Monday or Tuesday, September 22st or 23ndto view our banned books display and browse our selection of FREE BOOKS!
- Help us determine the most notorious book read by BSU students, faculty, and staff! We encourage you to take this informal poll: https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/XGMVX5D. Results will be posted on Friday, September 26th.
