As you may know, the A. C. Clark Library is in the midst of transitioning to a new software system, along with the other Minnesota State campus libraries.
On the morning of January 29, you’ll have a new library catalog and resources search to explore, which we’re calling “OneSearch”.
To help patrons get acclimated to the new search, we invite you to peruse:
- Very brief intro to OneSearch (2 min.) https://www.screencast.com/t/GttygSFO5k
- For “power users”, a 22-minute intro video from the vendor’s web site (Note: this is an “out of the box” version not branded for BSU, but with the same/similar functionality): https://knowledge.exlibrisgroup.com/Primo/Training/Primo_Training/Introduction_to_Primo/Using_Primo/01_Using_Primo
- Migration Overview/FAQs
- Also, a gentle reminder: There will be a brief period from January 24th through January 28th when library catalog information will not be updated while we are changing systems. This freeze will temporarily affect some services, including interlibrary loan requests and online renewals. Additionally, the availability status of items (books, DVDs, etc) will not be current during this period.
Please know that Library staff have been working diligently to minimize any inconvenience to Bemidji State University students, faculty, and staff. Thank you for your patience as we go through this transition!
