Bemidji State University’s student chapter of The Wildlife Society (TWS) received a $14,800 grant from the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (MNDNR) Angler and Hunter Recruitment and Retention grant program.
Bemidji State held its annual All-Campus Health Fair, sponsored by the Living Well – Working Well committee, Oct. 9 in the Beaux Arts Ballroom. Students, faculty and staff sampled products, participated in a variety of health assessments, viewed demonstrations and talked with a number of local service vendors. The fair also gave students, faculty and staff a chance to get a free flu shot and students had free access to a number of immunizations.
Bemidji State University’s Dr. Donna Pawlowski, professor of communication studies, and Dr. John Perlich, associate professor of communication studies, presented their work at the 2019 Communication Theater Association of Minnesota conference, held in St. Cloud, Minn. on Sept. 13-14.
Bemidji State University celebrated it’s Centennial Homecoming Oct. 3-6. “Home for the 100th,” welcomed community members, students and alumni to campus for events including the Honors Gala, Homecoming parade and Alumni Leaders in the Classroom.
On a cloudy October afternoon, about 100 campus and community members gathered on the Hobson Memorial Union lawn, where dozens of items were left for future generations to explore in Bemidji State University’s centennial time capsule.
On October 2, officials from Bemidji State University and Pine Technical College signed a transfer agreement making it easier for Pine Tech manufacturing students to complete bachelor’s degrees at Bemidji State.
