The Bemidji State University Wind Ensemble will be performing a variety of band and chamber music for their concert on Sunday, Dec. 9.

The two-hour concert begins at 3 p.m. on the Bangsberg Fine Arts Complex main stage. Tickets are available at the door, and are $5 for adults, $3 for seniors and free for all students with valid ID.

The program will include a circus march by Karl King entitled “Barnum and Bailey’s Favorite,” a piece from the Baroque era by J.S. Chamber music selections will highlight the work of smaller groups of students. The percussion ensemble will also perform a piece by composer Michael Colgrass, an ensemble of brass and percussion will play a transcription of “Procession of the Nobles” by Rimsky-Korsakov and a mixed ensemble will perform several movements of German composer Kurt Weill’s “Little Threepenny Music,” a piece based on music from “The Threepenny Opera.”
