Annual Midwinter Interlude art show opens Feb. 18

Bemidji State University’s annual Midwinter Interlude, an exhibit of arts and crafts created by faculty and staff at the University, opens Feb. 18.

The show will be held in the Ramsey Gallery in the Bangsberg Fine Arts Complex on the Bemidji State campus. The Midwinter Interlude will run through March 15.

An open house reception will be held Monday, Feb. 25, from 1-6 p.m. in the Ramsey Gallery lobby; refreshments will be served, there will be live music throughout the afternoon, and many of the participating artists will be available for a meet-and-greet.

The Midwinter Interlude is in its fourth year, growing from 17 exhibitors during the inaugural show to 29 in 2012. Works on display have included photography, stained glass, sculpture, jewelry, quilting, knitting, drawing and painting, fishing tackle, and other forms of arts and crafts.
