Fifty Students to be Inducted into the BSU Nursing Program

BEMIDJI, Minn. (Feb. 17, 2012) - Fifty students will be inducted into the Bemidji State University nursing program on Feb. 18. The induction will be held in the Beaux Arts Ballroom in Bemidji State’s Hobson Memorial Union at 2 p.m.  Students will receive their nursing nametags and be formally admitted into the profession as a student nurse.

Jeanine Gangeness, registered nurse and professor of nursing at Bemidji State University, commented on what an accomplishment it is to be inducted into the nursing program.

“Nursing programs are highly competitive to get admitted into and each of these students has achieved the first major step in their career to become a professional nurse,” Gangeness said.

The students will have the opportunity to give tours of the Clinical Resource Center (nursing lab) after the ceremony.
