NWSBDC to Offer Free Entrepreneurship and Start-up Workshop

BEMIDJI, Minn. (Nov. 18, 2011) — The Northwest Minnesota Small Business Development Center (NWSBDC), which is hosted by Bemidji State University, will be offering free workshops on how to start a business in Minnesota.

Workshops will be offered from 1-4 p.m. on Nov. 22 and again on Dec. 1, 8, and 15.  Register on the web at www.NwSBDC.com. Pre-registration is preferred.

The three-hour classes provide information on starting a business, financing, feasibility of an idea, business plan essentials, and legal requirements for a business start-up. Participants will receive “A Guide to Starting a Business in Minnesota,” a reference book for entrepreneurs, published by “Positively Minnesota” and other valuable resources to aid in your business endeavor.

The NWSBDC is one of nine regional offices throughout the Minnesota to provide free, confidential, one-on-one, business consulting services to existing and start-up businesses on a variety of business topics. The NWSBDC is a federal, state, and locally funded program and is hosted by Bemidji State University.
