Watch Wind Ensemble/Symphonic Band concert live online this Sunday

The Bemidji State University Wind Ensemble, a select wind band, and Symphonic Band will hold their fall-semester concert on Nov. 24.

The performance begins at 3 p.m. in the Main Theatre of Bemidji State’s Bangsberg Fine Arts Complex. Admission is $5 for adults; $3 for senior citizens; and free for all students, including BSU students showing a valid ID.

The concert will also be streamed live online on LiveStream. This free service requires an account on LiveStream.com which can be obtained by signing up with an email address. New users also can sign up for LiveStream using Facebook credentials. The concert will be available at:

The ensemble’s repertoire includes many of the exciting contemporary wind band pieces as well as 20th Century concert band classics.

The Wind Ensemble is open to all BSU students and rehearses three days per week. In addition to regularly programmed campus concerts, the Wind Ensemble hosts the Northern Minnesota Honor Band, an annual band festival for many of the top high school musicians Minnesota.

The ensemble takes an annual band tour with its concerts performed at many of the major high school music programs in the area. Recent tours include performances in Winnipeg and Minneapolis.

Bemidji State’s Symphonic Band is a group comprised of music majors, non-majors, as well as community members.
