Optivation online training events for August

BEMIDJI, Minn. (July 22, 2011) — Bemidji State University’s Optivation venture has online training courses on Microsoft Word and on the basics of adding new positions to a business scheduled for August.

Aug. 15 – New Position Basics
Your business depends on your staff for success. Learn skills and strategies to maximize the potential of every hire. Whether you need to create a new position or fill an existing one, this course will help you analyze your businesses needs and walk you through the entire process.

This course is presented by Lyndi Odegard, a human resources professional in the banking industry, and carries a fee of $200.

Aug. 18 – Microsoft Word 2007
This is a one-week online course designed to assist users of previous versions of Word become comfortable and efficient using Word 2007. The course focuses on the program’s new user interface.

This course is presented by Cal Rice, 32-year IBM veteran with a 15-year career as a community education instructor in Minnesota and Texas, and carries a fee of $75.
