Sustainable Tuesdays, a weekly presentation on topics related to environmental and sustainability issues presented by Bemidji State University’s Sustainability Office, will include a seed exchange and tips for defeating the winter blues later this month.<\/p>\n
Sustainable Tuesdays are held from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the Rail River Folk School, located at 303 Railroad St. SW in Bemidji, unless otherwise indicated. They are open free to the public.<\/p>\n

Diane Kuklinski and Rochelle Quick will share their knowledge of garden planning, including when certain plants should be planted, what varieties tend to grow well in Bemidji and tips for cultivating a resilient garden. There also will be a seed exchange.<\/p>\n

\nThis presentation will explore treaty rights in Minnesota, how they affect choices to live more sustainably, and the role that recognizing and upholding these rights plays in sustaining a cultural connection to the environment.<\/p>\n
