Sustainable Tuesdays, a weekly presentation on topics related to environmental and sustainability issues presented by the Bemidji State University Sustainability Office, will host a field trip to Lake Bemidji State Park for a bog walk on June 17.<\/p>\n
Sustainable Tuesdays events are held from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the Rail River Folk School, located at 303 Railroad St. SW in Bemidji. They are open free to the public unless otherwise noted.<\/p>\n

\nJoin the Sustainability Office and folk school staff for a guided Bog Walk tour with John Fylpaa, devoted naturalist at Lake Bemidji State Park. Participants will gather at the school at 5:20 p.m. to carpool to the state park for those who need rides; vehicles going to the park will need to have park stickers for admission. The walk will begin at 5:45 p.m. Participants are encouraged to wear shoes appropriate for light hiking, to pack a jacket in case of rain, and plan accordingly for the presence of mosquitos or other insects.<\/p>\n
