Bemidji State University understands the rising cost of higher education and is committed to offering a variety of scholarship opportunities to as many students as possible. More than 30 percent of all new entering students receive scholarships.<\/p>\n

Local students have accepted a $1,000 Academic Achievement Scholarship from Bemidji State University for the 2013-2014 academic year.<\/p>\n

All high school graduates in the top 30% of their class with an ACT composite of 25 or higher, or who have cumulative grade-point averages of 3.5 or higher, are eligible for this scholarship. Students who maintain full-time enrollment status and a grade-point average of 3.25 or higher while at Bemidji State can renew the scholarship for up to two additional years, for a total award of $3,000.<\/p>\n

Students must be admitted prior to Feb. 1 in order to receive scholarships for the fall semester of that year.<\/p>\n

BSU will present more than $2.3 million in academic, talent, and leadership scholarships this year. The awards are made possible through donations to BSU Alumni and Foundation and other organizations that specify funds for such causes.<\/p>\n
