The exhibition is in partial fulfilment of the requirements for a bachelor of arts degree from BSU&rsquo;s Department of Visual Arts.<\/p>\n<p>Vilhjalmsdottir&rsquo;s exhibition is entitled &ldquo;Want Me Now?&rdquo; Her exhibit features paintings that explore how society quietly keeps holding on to unequal values even though it wants to believe it has advanced from the values of the 1950s.<\/p>\n<p>An opening reception for Vilhjalmsdottir&rsquo;s show will be held Thursday, May 1, beginning at 4 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>Viljhalmsdottir is a senior majoring in visual arts from Iceland.<\/p>\n<p>Located in the Education-Arts Building on the campus of Bemidji State University, Gallery X is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The gallery is open at no charge to the public.<\/p>\n<p>For more information, contact gallery director Bill Eitenmiller at (218) 760-1673.<\/p>\n<p><strong>FOR YOUR CALENDAR<br>\nMay 1-10 <\/strong>&ndash; Bemidji State University&rsquo;s Touch&eacute; Gallery presents &ldquo;Want Me Now?&rdquo; an exhibition of paintings by BSU student Edda Solveig Vilhjalmsdottir.
