The list focuses on a college&rsquo;s native community and support system, and this year adds data measuring undergraduate degrees in science, engineering, technology and mathematics-related disciplines for all students and for American Indians and for the six-year graduation rates of all students and for American Indians.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;We are very proud to have Bemidji State University included on this prestigious list,&rdquo; said&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/faculty.bemidjistate.edu\/atreuer\/Boozhoo.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Dr. Anton Treuer<i title=\"External link\" class=\"bsu-icon bsu-icon-external-link small ms-1\"><\/i><\/a>, executive director of Bemidji State&rsquo;s&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.bemidjistate.edu\/airc\/\">American Indian Resource Center<\/a>. &ldquo;We work hard to serve the needs of our growing and diverse native student population. Educational access is the key to economic opportunity and to strengthening native nations.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>The magazine&rsquo;s data was compiled from the U.S. Department of Education&rsquo;s Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System.<\/p>\n<p>Bemidji State University was one of only five Minnesota universities to make the list. It was joined by Augsburg College, The College of St. Scholastica, the University of Minnesota and the University of Minnesota-Morris.<\/p>\n<p><strong>About Winds of Change<\/strong><br>\nWinds of Change is a nationally distributed magazine focused on career and educational advancement for American Indians and Alaska Natives, with an emphasis on science, technology, engineering and mathematics. Enrolling more than 5,000 students, Bemidji State&nbsp;offers more than 50 undergraduate majors and nine graduate programs encompassing arts, sciences and select professional programs.
