If you are interested and meet the listed qualifications, please prepare a letter of application addressing how you plan to address the responsibilities in the&nbsp;position description (included below) and a current CV.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Please send to Martin Tadlock, Provost\/VPAA <a href=\"mailto:mtadlock@bemidjistate.edu\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\"><span class=\"s2\">mtadlock@bemidjistate.edu<\/span><\/a> and cc to the BSUFA office <a href=\"mailto:bsufa@bemidjistate.edu\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\"><span class=\"s2\">bsufa@bemidjistate.edu<\/span><\/a>&nbsp;by <\/span><span class=\"s3\">April 13, 2015.<\/span><span class=\"s1\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The BSUFA Senate will make recommendations regarding candidates to assist Academic Affairs in appointing a director.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">This position includes three&nbsp;credits of reassigned time per semester.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Thank you in advance for your interest in serving the university in this important capacity.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Martin Tadlock<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\"><b>Director of Leadership Studies<br>\n<\/b><\/span>.25 FTE reassigned time is associated with the position<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">&nbsp;<\/span><b>Leadership Studies Director Duties &amp; Responsibilities<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">Manage curriculum, including catalogue updates and curricular revisions<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"p2\">Manage class offerings, including scheduling courses each semester, in the summer, and finding faculty to teach the courses<\/li>\n<li class=\"p2\">Advise students pursuing a leadership studies minor<\/li>\n<li class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">Coordinate and review capstone projects and materials in the leadership certificate and leadership minor<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"p2\">Review and approve graduation plans<\/li>\n<li class=\"p2\">Teach one leadership course per year<\/li>\n<li class=\"p2\">Advise library regarding leadership studies holdings and new material orders<\/li>\n<li class=\"p2\">Manage leadership studies budget<\/li>\n<li class=\"p2\">Complete required university reports<\/li>\n<li class=\"p2\">Coordinate the selection of the Leadership Studies Student of the Year<\/li>\n<li class=\"p2\">Maintain the leadership studies files and history (curricular, budgetary, staffing, correspondence, reports)<\/li>\n<li class=\"p2\">Serve as the on-campus contact person for information and resource of concern regarding leadership studies<\/li>\n<li class=\"p2\">Organize forums, speakers, workshops or other activities related to campus and community leadership events<\/li>\n<li class=\"p2\">Arrange and facilitate meetings with the Leadership Studies Council<\/li>\n<li class=\"p2\">Work with the Leadership Studies Council to develop community outreach partnerships where possible<\/li>\n<li class=\"p2\">Coordinate assessment of the leadership program<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"p4\"><span class=\"s4\"><b>Qualifications<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"p4\"><span class=\"s1\">Faculty member with a terminal degree in an area that supports (i.e., provides courses for) the leadership minor or certificate<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"p4\"><span class=\"s1\">Can demonstrate an ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with both on-campus entities (i.e., faculty, staff and administration), and off-campus organizations and agencies<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&bull; <strong>Downloads<\/strong>:&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bemidjistate.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2015\/04\/Director-of-Leadership-Studies-PD-3-26-15.docx\">Director of Leadership Studies PD &ndash; 3-26-15<\/a>&nbsp;(MS Word)<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Academic Affairs is seeking a director of leadership studies for a three-year term beginning in Fall 2015.
