She has more than 30 years of financial experience in the public sector working in various positions in state government, including commissioner of finance, state budget director, and chief fiscal analyst for the state senate. She also served as chief financial officer&nbsp;for the Minneapolis Public Schools. She has an accounting degree from BSU, is a member of the BSU Foundation Board&nbsp;and&nbsp;received BSU&rsquo;s Outstanding Alumni Award in 2008.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><b><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bemidjistate.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2015\/09\/Accounting-Nohner-128x180.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-21692 alignright img-fluid\" src=\"https:\/\/www.bemidjistate.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2015\/09\/Accounting-Nohner-128x180.jpg\" alt=\"Accounting-Nohner-128x180\" width=\"129\" height=\"180\" data-bp=\"https:\/\/www.bemidjistate.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2015\/09\/Accounting-Nohner-128x180.jpg\"><\/a>Michael Nohner &rsquo;06<\/b> earned degrees in business, finance and accounting.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">&nbsp;<\/span>He began his career doing hedge fund administration for a subsidiary of Cargill. He was promoted to fund accounting manager, where he managed the accounting and administration of more than $3 billion in complex hedge fund structures, including the acquisition of Bank of America&rsquo;s hedge fund administration business. In 2011, the company became Wells Fargo Global Fund Services. Recently promoted to vice president, Nohner oversees the transition and onboarding of new clients onto the company&rsquo;s systems and process. He is a CPA and a member of the BSU Foundation Board.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><b><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bemidjistate.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2015\/09\/Accounting-Carlsrud-128x180.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-21691 alignright img-fluid\" src=\"https:\/\/www.bemidjistate.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2015\/09\/Accounting-Carlsrud-128x180.jpg\" alt=\"Accounting-Carlsrud-128x180\" width=\"128\" height=\"180\" data-bp=\"https:\/\/www.bemidjistate.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2015\/09\/Accounting-Carlsrud-128x180.jpg\"><\/a>Thor Carlsrud &rsquo;02&nbsp;<\/b>earned&nbsp;a bachelor&rsquo;s degree&nbsp;in accounting from BSU and had a top-10 score on the CPA exam during his senior&nbsp;year. He began his career as an external auditor with Ernst &amp; Young (now EY). He moved to Allianze Life Insurance Company of North America in 2008 and currently manages IFRS and GAAP Financial reporting.
